Wrestling since the age of four, Nigel carries on the legacy of his father, a 1980 Canadian Olympic wrestler. An elite-level competitor ranked provincially, nationally, and internationally, Nigel is a four-time OFSAA gold medalist who concluded his high school career with bronze medals at both OFSAA and the Canadian National Championships.
Nigel leveraged his success into a scholarship at Concordia University, training alongside Olympic athletes and world-class coaches. Armed with a Master’s in Education, he is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of athletes. Nigel’s coaching approach emphasizes focused training, mental resilience, and overcoming adversity, empowering wrestlers to push past perceived limits and excel on and off the mat.

Coach Tony Legare brings a wealth of championship experience and a relentless mindset to his wrestling program. As a decorated athlete, including titles as a DoDDSE European Folkstyle Champion, Provincial Champion, National Silver Medalist, and Canada Cup Silver Medalist, Coach Tony understands the dedication required to achieve peak performance. His background in military-style combatives further strengthens his disciplined and impactful coaching philosophy.
Beyond technique, Coach Tony focuses on cultivating heart, the ability to apply pressure, and an unwavering will to overcome limitations. His athletes learn through hard work, develop mental toughness, and adopt a "never give up" attitude. Under his guidance, wrestlers gain not only the skills to win but also the resilience necessary for success in all aspects of life.
